On the eve of the Beauty salon International de la Haute Clocks (SIHH) in Geneva, United states jewellery brand Jacob & Co unveiled its most recent Astronomia Flawless watch. In line with the iconic Astronomia Gravitational Tri-Axial Tourbillon watch, the watch includes a sun, moon, globe along with a precision movement visible through every angle through a one-piece sapphire case. This beautiful watch features a sapphire motion bridge, a blue sapphire dial and a sapphire hold on a blue strap.



The sapphire situation of the Jacob & Co Astronomia Flawless watch is made up of case, dome and caseback. It takes artisans about thirty seven weeks to create these sapphire components. To create the curve, the master craftsman slashes the raw material, crushes and processes it upon CNC equipment, polishes this, and ultrasonically cleans as well as anti-reflective treatment is applied. The situation took 326 hours to create, while the cutting, polishing, chamfering and brushing of the sky-blue base took 300 hrs. The sapphire disc which represents the dial requires 280 hours to make, as the sapphire strap buckle requires a similar amount of time to make.



At the heart of the Jacob & Co Astronomia Flawless is an upgraded manual-winding movements, the JCAM16, with a triple-axis tourbillon. The watch features 2 288-faceted diamond spheres: the 1-carat Jacob Cut gemstone at one end from the satellite, and an 18 CARAT rose gold enamel globe opposing the satellite. Between the a couple of spheres, and rising over a central axis of the activity, is another diamond sphere : a 2 . 23-carat Jacob Cut multi-faceted yellow diamonds.
